day 241: what name would your parents have named you if you were the opposite sex? did they have a list of names for you?
Well, my mom said she would’ve named me Jared but when she said that in person once my dad said “that’s a black person’s name” (SERIOUSLY I SHIT YOU NOT) and soo i’m not really sure. i mean my name is carly because my grandpa’s middle name is carl, so maybe i woulda just been carl. and dudes on my dad’s side have this weird thing where everyone’s first name is someone else’s either middle or first name so like the names in my family go: wilhelm karl toepfer, karl wilhem toepfer, richard carl toepfer, richard brian toepfer, then me (carly ann - my brother is my half brother) soooo there’s a fun little fact about me

fuck. uhm, this might be hard and i might lump a few things together. it’s also in no particular order and this would probably change if you asked me this every month. so.

- starting college
- navajo trip
- finding feminism
- getting my dog
- my brothers multiple jail times
- my grandpa’s death
- my old dog’s death
- my best friend moving 2,000 miles away
- changing majors
i am actually really surprised and kind of proud of myself that i did not include any relationships or break ups in that list.
